Strategies for mindful moderate drinking
If you are concerned about your drinking and want to reduce your alcohol consumption rather than stop drinking completely, we can help.
Our Alcohol Moderation Program is for problem drinkers who want to learn how to moderate their drinking and keep it within safer limits. In private one-on-one sessions or small private group meetings you will learn a variety of practical strategies and techniques to help you take charge of when, where, and how much you drink. The goal is to help you break free of habitual unhealthy drinking patterns and learn how to drink more mindfully, more moderately, and more safely.
An alcohol harm reduction and self-management approach
Designed specifically for non-addicted drinkers, this research-tested approach uses proven harm reduction and behavioral self-control strategies to help you take charge of what, when, and much you drink.
This program provides you with valuable information and guidelines that you can put into practice immediately. You will be asked to keep a digital drinking log, monitor your BAC levels, and complete selected readings and brief homework assignments.
If you are interested in learning how to moderate your drinking and exert better self control over your alcohol consumption, contact Dr. Washton today to schedule your initial consultation.
