Meeting Dr. Washton for an initial consultation in his private office in New York City or Princeton, NJ is the first step to overcoming your alcohol or substance abuse problem. In this first meeting, you will discuss what has brought you to this point, the changes you want to make, what could be blocking you from making these changes, what short-term goals are realistic for you, and the best treatment option for you to achieve those goals.
Dr. Washton will ask questions about yourself, your circumstances, your history, and previous attempts you may have made to deal with your alcohol or drug abuse problem. This will help him gain a clear, in-depth understanding of you, your needs, and what type of treatment makes the most sense for you. You will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Washton questions, to gain a sense of who he is, how he thinks, and how he can help you going forward.
Taking the next step

You may decide to schedule private meetings with Dr. Washton, to join one of his small private groups for executives and professionals, or do both.
