Addiction, Depression, & Anxiety
Is drinking causing you problems? Do you sometimes go overboard and later regret what you said or did while you were intoxicated? Whether you’re a binge drinker, a daily drinker, or a sporadic heavy drinker– we can help. Drinking problems are not all the same. And not everyone with a drinking problem is an alcoholic who needs to stop drinking for life.
Our treatment approach is respectful, individualized, and focused. We offer abstinence-based treatment for people who want to give up drinking for good. We also offer moderation-based treatment for people with less severe drinking problems who want to learn how to reduce their alcohol consumption and keep it within safer limits.
Perhaps you’re using painkillers like Vicodin, Percocet, Oxycontin, or other opioid (narcotic) drugs. Whether you’re physically addicted to prescription opioids and need medical detoxification or simply find yourself unable to stop using them, we can help.
We can also help if you’re having problems with (a) cocaine or methamphetamine; (b) prescription stimulants such as Adderrall, Ritalin, or Dexedrine; (c) tranquilizers such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, or Valium; (d) sleeping pills such as Ambien, Sonata, or Lunesta; or, other addictive substances. Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD…..
It can be very difficult to determine whether anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric problems are among the causes or the consequences of substance abuse. Often, it’s both. Either way, if you suffer with anxiety and/or depression, you want relief. We will carefully assess you for these problems and, when needed, one of our psychiatrists can evaluate whether medication might be a good option for you.
